Dr. Devora Scher is a licensed psychologist in New York and New Jersey, specializing in the treatment of anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder in children, adolescents, and adults. Balancing skills of acceptance and change, Dr. Scher utilizes evidence-based therapeutic frameworks to help clients live their best lives and achieve their long term goals. Dr. Scher participates with Aetna insurance and is considered an "out of network" provider with other insurances. Dr. Scher's PsyPact certification also affords the opportunity to work with clients remotely in approximately 40 states.
Riding the Wave is excited to offer supervised doctoral level psychology student clinicians and psychology externs for a reduced therapy fee.
Our psychology externs are in their third or fourth year of a psychology doctoral program, have extensive clinical hours, and utilize evidence-based treatment modalities.
Dr. Scher closely supervises psychology externs, ensuring that clients receive high quality treatment. Psychology externs offer a reduced fee of $135/50-minute session.
As per the New Jersey’s Board of Psychological Examiners protocol, our psychology externs are not allowed to be advertised on our site. Please let us know if you are interested in hearing more about our trained, caring psychology externs.
